This really has been an exceptional group stage in the 2024 Abu Dhabi T10 and it is a shame that it all finishes on Saturday evening. However, the knockout stage is always the most entertaining and the five teams who progress will certainly be capable of living up to that billing.
This game could well be one we see again during the knockout stage and if it is to be so then Delhi Bulls would love to get their confidence up and slightly deflate the Gladiators.
Deccan Gladiators have been excellent and they will still be looking at the possibility of finishing top of the table Morrisville Samp Army but they may find Delhi Bulls are equally as focused come this match.
We have said it on many occasions during this series but it seems worth saying so again at this crucial stage of the season - Deccan Gladiators have an embarrassment of riches in the batting department.
The Gladiators certainly wouldn't swap their top five for anyone and it was the turn of Nicholas Pooran and Jos Buttler to show their team-mates how it should be done as they quickly chased down a target of 73 from only 5.1 overs!
The game had previously setup by the awkward pace and bounce of Richard Gleeson who took 3/10 and the reality is that the Gladiators have a range of top bowling options.

Needing only 84 runs to win, Delhi Bulls looked a little un-confident in the pitch against New York Strikers before managing to get over the line with one full over remaining.
The Bulls had the batting of James Vince (30 runs from 15 balls) and Tim David (21 runs from 14 balls) to thank for getting them close to the finish line against the New York Strikers but crucially, they still have some other batters capable, particularly the experienced middle order of Shadab Khan and Fabian Allen.
The bowlers would claim that they did all the foundation laying in that game and the task now is for them to do the same again. Sam Cook (3/18) and Fazalhaq Farooqi (3/19) will both be full of self-belief.

It will get cloudier as the night skies roll in but there could well be a couple of hours of daylight with sunshine in Abu Dhabi. The temperaure will be no lower than 24 degrees.

It remains an excellent batting wicket for batters of various levels and more than anything it is the consistency of batting which has impressed. Whoever is batting in the second innings is likely to be chasing a target of 180+.
This could be a pitch which delivers good batting throughout although under the lights in full flow it is likely to be the toughest time to bowl. Therefore, we predict that both sides will want to bat first.
With both teams winning their last games, we expect to see the sides on the front foot immediately! Both will look to out-hit the other and we are backing that approach to deliver another victory for Deccan Gladiators.
