After ending the ODIs in the hustle and bustle of London, most apparent to the players after they were caught up in traffic en route to the ground and the start was delayed, this T20I series begins in Chester-le-Street, the venue where West Indies beat England when they last played a match in this format in this country.
England were excellent with bat and ball in the ODIs and Harry Brook will be looking for more of the same from his side in this opening game.

England Preview
After brushing aside the West Indies in Birmingham, Cardiff and London, Harry Brook will be looking to show the cricket loving folk of Durham that he is turning around the fortunes of England's T20 side as well in this game.
The right-handed Yorkshireman has been in excellent form since taking on the captaincy and he will be hoping to continue that form in this game. Although if he doesn't the return of IPL winning batter Phil Salt, who enjoys a brilliant head to head record against West Indies, should provide a big boost for the hosts who have a very long batting line-up.
With the ball, Liam Dawson is back in the squad and we expect him to team up with Rehan Ahmed in a new-look English spin pairing.
The pace attack of Brydon Carse and Saqib Mahmood will look to continue where they left off in the ODIs!

Overall it has been a very disappointing tour for West Indies who have won only one of their five completed matches since touching down on Irish and English soil over the last few weeks.
The switch to T20 cricket should provide them with an opportunity to find a winning formula tough and the return of experienced players like Andre Russell and Jason Holder should give the side a much needed boost of class.
