Joburg Super Kings Preview

After their season opener was abandoned due to rain, Joburg Super Kings have lost their next three matches in a row. In their previous game, they managed to put just 134 on the board against Paarl Royals at Boland Park and lost the game by 7 wickets.

The team’s batting just hasn’t clicked so far, despite the presence of so many stars. Leus du Plooy is their top-scorer, collecting 120 runs in 3 innings at a strike rate of 164. He was the lone man standing in the previous match against Paarl Royals, with a sublime knock of 71 off 43 balls.

For Joburg to do well, their esteemed openers, Reeza Hendricks and captain Faf du Plessis, have to fire. Du Plessis was their leading run-getter last year and has had a lean run so far. But we do expect him to come back to form with a bang in this match.

Pretoria Capitals Preview

Following two initial defeats, Pretoria Capitals secured their first victory of the season, clinching a solid 17-run win against the Durban Super Giants in Centurion. Batting first, the Capitals posted a massive 204-9 on the board on a great batting wicket and restricted the Super Giants to 187-7.

Will Jacks led the charge in the last match with a scintillating 101 off just 42 balls. His innings was studded with 8 fours and 9 glorious sixes. Jacks has also done a wonderful job with his off-spin, taking 3 wickets at an economy of just 6.16.

Another batter to watch out for is Rilee Rossouw, who is the team's second-most successful batter this year with 122 runs in 3 innings at a strike rate of 165.

Colin Ingram also showed some form in the previous game, smashing a quickfire 43 off 23 balls. This is great news for Pretoria, as he can be really destructive if he gets going.
