It's never much fun towards the bottom of the table in a T10 tournament, as the games keep coming at you and you are constantly up against teams full of confidence with points on the board.
Morrisville Samp Army are on their way up the league and they know that another victory in this game will see them dining towards the top of the table. For Team Abu Dhabi, they seem to still be suffering a hangover from their 2022 Abu Dhabi T10 play-off defeats and they need to snap out of it as soon as possible before they find themselves out of contention to progress this year.
Form is temporary and momentum can swiftly shift in T10 cricket. Both teams will be looking for a statement victory on Friday evening.

Captain Moeen Ali had been the only batter to deliver in their opening game defeat but he found 59 runs on the board by the time he came to the wicket at number three against The Chennai Braves on Thursday. Contributions from across the team will be the order of the day in this match.
Keeper-batter Andries Gous may be an unknown name to many cricket fans but he made sure that he stole the limelight from his fellow opener and fellow South African, Faf du Plessis, as he struck 43 runs from 26 balls before being run-out in Match 7. The South African way seems to be to out-hit each other at the top of the order and we can expect a mini-competition of fours and sixes when these two stride to the crease against Team Abu Dhabi on Friday.
He starred with the bat and didn't bowl against Northern Warriors but the 36 year old skipper, Moeen, stepped up with the ball against The Chennai Braves as he took 2/17. He will have to wait for his chance to bowl in this game though and we can expect Jason Holder and Karim Janat to cause plenty of problems with the new ball after exceptional performances on Thursday.

On paper, Team Abu Dhabi have one of the strongest batting line-ups in the tournament, but a quick look at their form from the end of last year up until now does not make for pretty reading. Team Abu Dhabi are hoping to avoid their sixth successive defeat in this game!
It didn't look like a fifth loss in a row was on the cards when Tom Banton hit 33 runs from 17 balls at the top of the order against Northern Warriors, although seeing Alex Hales, his opening partner, limp to 20 runs from 18 balls showed that not everything was going to go the way of Team Abu Dhabi with the bat. Alongside the top order pair, we can expect Colin Ingram, Leus du Plooy and skipper Dwaine Pretorius to impact the game with the bat.
Pretorius will be hoping to impact this match with the ball as well but self-belief will be in short supply in Team Abu Dhabi's bowling attack aftrer they failed to take a wicket in their 9 overs against Northern Warriors on Thursday. Times like this call for battle-hardened competitors and experienced left-arm spinner Roelof van der Merwe may well be the man to step up on Friday.

This day-night game should see the humidity levels increase in the second innings of the match which could make the ball a little wetter and fielding that bit tougher. It will still be warm with the temperature at 26 degrees from start to finish.

An excellent batting pitch could be the perfect surface for Team Abu Dhabi to post a big total and see the confidence return to their side. Any score over 120 will be very hard to chase down on this pitch in the second innings of the game at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
We have seen Morrisville Samp Army and Team Abu Dhabi win a toss each so far with both times the captains choosing to field first. Teams love to chase in this format and it would be a surprise if either skipper won the toss and elected to bat first on Friday.
Morrisville Samp Army are far from the strongest team that we have seen so far in this year's competition but they have been a far stronger side than Team Abu Dhabi. We are not predicting a thrashing but we are predicting another defeat for Team Abu Dhabi with Morrisville Samp Army getting the victory.
