Match 47 of IPL 2025 sees Rajasthan Royals (RR) going up against Gujarat Titans (GT) this Monday in Jaipur. Rajasthan have had a forgettable campaign so far, winning only two of their nine games and losing the other seven, which has pushed them down to ninth. Gujarat, meanwhile, have looked sharp with six wins from eight, and they currently sit at the top of the standings. RR will be at home, but with the way Gujarat have been playing, they go in looking stronger.

Rajasthan Royals have completely lost their way this season, and any shot at the playoffs is now pretty much gone. They’ve dropped five games in a row, three of which they should have closed out, but instead fell apart during the final overs thanks to poor decision-making with the bat.
They’ll need to pull themselves together quickly to salvage something from what’s left of the season. The batting order has been chaotic, with no one stepping up except Yashasvi Jaiswal, who’s held his own with 356 runs in nine games, averaging 39.66 with a strike rate of 150.63.
Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel have had their chances but haven’t turned starts into real contributions. Shubham Dubey and Nitish Rana have had a string of failures despite being given repeated chances. Shimron Hetmyer, expected to be the game-closer, has let them down with just 187 runs in nine outings and hasn’t managed to do the job properly.
The bowling has been carried almost entirely by Jofra Archer, who’s delivered 9 wickets at an economy of 9.25. But he’s been out there alone, with Tushar Deshpande and Sandeep Sharma going for runs too often. Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana haven’t been unreliable, which has cost them in multiple games. Theekshana was replaced by Fazalhaq Farooqi in the last match, but that didn’t help either.
Jaiswal has scored 49, 74, 51 & 75 in the last four matches and has 4 fifty plus scores in the last six matches. Overall he has scored 356 runs in 9 matches and is amongst the top 10 run-scorers. At Jaipur in IPL 2025, Jaiswal has scored 149 runs, averaging close to 75.

No one had Gujarat Titans pegged as contenders early on, but they've pulled off six wins in eight games to climb to the top of the table. Their top three—Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill, and Jos Buttler—have been the bedrock of their batting. Sudharsan, especially, has been in ridiculous form. He leads the Orange Cap race with 417 runs in nine games, averaging 52.12 at a strike rate of 152.18. Five fifties already, including an 82 off 53 in GT's last game against the Royals, where they won by 58.
Gill is starting to click, too. He’s scored 305 runs from eight innings at 153.26 and looks due for a big one. In the middle, Sherfane Rutherford has done his bit quietly—201 runs in seven knocks at 40.20—while Tewatia has done what he does best at the back end.
The bowlers have pulled their weight, too. Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna have combined for 28 wickets, while Sai Kishore has kept things tight with an economy of 8.22. Siraj is striking early, and Kishore is doing a solid job through the middle. Rashid Khan is still working his way back to full rhythm, but Jaipur’s surface could work in his favor. This bowling unit has carried them, and these conditions might suit their style again.
Prasidh Krishna has taken 16 wickets in 8 matches and is 2nd in the purple cap race. He has been mighty effective in the middle & death overs for the Titans. The last time he played against the Rajasthan Royals earlier in the season, Prasidh bowled a match winning spell finishing with figures of 3/24.
Mr Consistent of IPL 2025, Sai Sudharshan has scored 52, 36, 56 & 82 in his last four outings. So far in this season he has accumulated 417 runs in 8 matches, averaging 52.12. The last time he played against the Rajasthan Royals earlier in the season, Sudharsan scored 82 runs.
Jos Buttler has scored 356 runs in 8 matches this season, averaging 71.20. He is in good form and has scored runs consistently. At Jaipur in 20 matches, Buttler has scored 769 runs at an average of 45.23. Having played the last three seasons at Jaipur, Buttler is well aware of the pitch conditions and we back him to come good against his former team and score over 29 runs.

The Sawai Mansingh Stadium pitch offers consistent bounce with a thin grass covering hiding a hard surface underneath. Batters can trust the true pace after the first few overs. Evening dew will make gripping difficult for spinners later. Straight boundaries measure just 65 meters while square boundaries extend to 75 meters.
The weather in Jaipur will be hot and dry, but we will get a full game as there is no chance of rain.

We back the home team Rajasthan Royals to win the coin toss in match 47 of Tata IPL 2025.
Batting second is usually the better option at Jaipur, with 38 of the 60 domestic T20s played here being won by the chasing side, including the last game played here. Thus, both teams are likely to field first here.
Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans are heading in opposite directions this season. Rajasthan have lost five straight games and can’t seem to close out matches. Gujarat, on the other hand, are in sync, with every player doing their job. They’ve beaten Rajasthan in their last three meetings, including once this year. Confidence is through the roof for Gujarat, while Rajasthan look completely out of sorts. Based on how things stand, Gujarat are in a strong spot to win this one.
Gujarat Titans are favorites to win this match.
