As ever in T20 tournaments, there can be very talented players in strong form in action for a team who is struggling and that certainly seems to be the case for South Western Districts at the moment. Equally, some sides can have individuals not really making a huge contribution but the team as a whole get over the line which is what we have seen from Tuskers so far in the tournament.
T20 cricket is very much about momentum and if South Western Districts can keep their opponents at bay when the going gets tough in this game then that will be key.
Otherwise, Tuskers, a team full of self-belief, could well run all over Districts if they are able to open up both ends with two quick wickets when operating as the fielding side.

On a pitch which will provide some help for the bowlers, South Western Districts need to find a way for their lower order to either hang around or hit out with some results in this game. The lack of any double-figure score from number five downward was the main reason for their collapse from 119/2 to 146 all out and, against a strong side like the Tuskers, they will have to be more competitive throughout their line-up.
Plenty is likely to depend on the opening pair of Keenan Vieira and Kyle Jacobs with the former in particularly strong form. He comes into this match after sharing in half-century opening stands in both games and after hitting a half-century in both!
With the ball, there is variety in their attack but question marks are surrounding the quality. Left-arm wrist spinner Thomas Kaber always gives the ball a big rip and comes into this game with five wickets from the last two matches.

This is a strong Tuskers side who have confidence running through their side with the bat and ball. Even in their lower order, there is plenty of belief and that was there for all to see in their last game against Border when they recovered from 79/5 to post a defendable total of 132/6.
That said, captain Michael Erlank will be looking to his top three to deliver more runs in this match after they could only contribute 28 runs between them in the last game which included Kyle Nipper falling for a golden duck at first drop. Erlank at six, with Sean Whitehead at seven and Ntando Zuma at eight all hit sixes and we expect that trio to play in an attacking manner with all three capable of taking on the 'finisher' label.
Thabiso Ndlela will want to be more economical in this game after leaking 10 runs per over against Border but the rest of the seven-man attack will be keen to get bowling again after impressing last time out.

There is no danger of any rain in Oudtshoorn during, before or after this match and there is likely to be bright sunshine throughout the contest. The temperature will not be too hot though with a high of 16 degrees.
This venue provided a good contest between bat and ball in the one previous match in this campaign which saw South Western Districts post 146/8 before Limpopo chased down the total with 25 balls and six wickets to spare. Once again, we expect batting to be trickier in the first innings before the pitch flattens out a little in the second half of the game.
With there likely to be some assistance for the bowlers across the opening ten overs of the match, we are predicting that both captains will want to field first in this game.
With both teams having such contrasting results over their opening two matches, we expect the form book to be followed in this game. Our prediction is for another victory for Tuskers with South Western Districts going down in defeat once more.
We are backing Tuskers to win!
