Trinbago Knight Riders Preview

Kieron Pollard's side put up an excellent show in the last game, defeating the Jamaica Tallawahs by 7 wickets. With this win, the side has moved to the second spot on the points table. They had lost the earlier game against the Saint Lucia Kings, so Pollard would like to see a strong show from his players to win and book a berth in the next round.  

Martin Guptill is in good form and will look to deliver a good start in this game with Sunil Narine, who has moved up the order. Nicholas Pooran has enjoyed a good run in the tournament and will look to build partnerships with Pollard and Andre Russell in the middle order. Lorcan Tucker, Akeal Hosein, and Ali Khan add depth to this line-up, making it strong.  

The bowling attack has done well in the last few games. Jaden Carmichael and Akeal Hosein will have to get early breakthroughs as the Saint Lucia Kings have a strong batting line-up. They will need a good show from Sunil Narine and Waqar Salamkheil in the middle overs. Russell, Pollard, and Ali Khan complete a strong attack for the team.

Sikandar Raza's side lost to the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the last game due to poor efforts with the bat. The side lost wickets and regular intervals to end with a sub-par total on the board. A win here will guarantee them a berth in the playoffs. They had defeated the Knight Riders earlier in the season, and Raza would like to repeat the same show.  

Johnson Charles and Colin Munro have looked good at the top, and the side will need a strong start in this game. The middle order hasn't been consistent, and they will need partnerships between Sean Williams, Roston Chase, and Sadrack Descarte. Raza is a good finisher and must do well in this game with Roshon Primus.  

The bowling attack will be under pressure in this game, and they need good spells from Khary Pierre and Roston Chase with the new ball. Alzarri Joseph is this team's best bowler and must deliver a good show in the middle overs with Sean Williams. They will also expect good spells from Peter Hatzoglou and Raza.
