IPL 2025 - Last Meeting of SRH vs RR

The last time SRH vs RR took place was when it was the IPL 2024 playoff edition at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Both teams qualified for the playoffs and they both were hopeful to make it to the final game.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bowl first. Their decision to bowl first came out to be wrong and things started working against the teams since the first spell. Their bowling unit was slow and expensive and their key bowlers completely failed to dominate the furious lineup of Hyderabad batters.

Trent Boult and Avesh Khan picked up 3 wickets each at an economy of 11.25 and 6.75 respectively. Sandeep Sharma also scalped 2 wickets at an economy of 6.25.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Travis Head started the game on a positive note by scoring 34 off 28 balls at a strike rate of 121.43. Rahul Tripathi at number 3 was on fire and scored 37 off 15 balls at a strike rate of 246.67. Heinrich Klassen from the middle order gave the major push to the overall score by scoring 50 off 34 balls at a strike rate of 147.06.

Rajasthan Royals also started on a positive note with the bat. Yashaswi Jaiswal scored 42 off 21 balls at a strike rate of 200. However, as soon as the top order was decimated, the middle order also felt the pressure and the pace of the game went slow. Dhruv Jurel tried to save the match by scoring 56 off 35 balls at a strike rate of 160, but it was enough to complete the chase.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Shahbaz Ahmed picked up 3 wickets at an economy of 5.75. Abhishek Sharma scalped 2 wickets at an economy of 6. Pat Cummins and T. Natarajan contributed with a single wicket each.
