The inaugural Women’s Vitality T20 Blast is currently at the initial stage. With 18 teams participating in three groups, Middlesex Women are set to play their third game of the tournament against Kent Women at Brunton Memorial Ground, Radlett on 8th June from 11:30 PM onwards.
Middlesex played their last game against Sussex Women. Bowling first, Middlesex Women restricted Sussex to 102 for the loss of 7 wickets. Anaya Patel picked up four wickets for 18 runs. Riva Pindoria then scored an unbeaten half-century to help Middlesex win the game by 8 wickets. This was Middlesex’s second win in two games.
Kent will be playing their first game of the tournament. Their last match was in the T20 Women's County Cup, where they lost to The Blaze Women in the quarterfinals. Bowling first, Kent restricted Blaze Women to 177 for the loss of four wickets. Isabella James picked up two wickets. A poor show from the batting unit saw Kent get bowled out on just 71 runs to lose the game by 106 runs.
Both teams played in the T20 Women's County Cup in the last month. Batting first, Middlesex Women managed to score 136 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
