South Africa and Australia have delivered some of the most memorable moments in Test cricket this century and there will be a full house to see if they can do the same from Wednesday to Sunday in north London!

Although they were unfancied to do so at the start of this 2023-2025 World Test Championship cycle, South Africa have maintained an impressive improvement on their previous performance in the tournament and fully deserve their place in the final.
After finishing in fifth place in the 2019-2021 cycle and third in the 2021-2023 cycle, the Proteas topped the group and thrashed Pakistan by ten wickets at the start of the year in their last game in this format.
The bowling attack will be without Anrich Nortje but they still have plenty of match-winners in Marco Jansen, Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj.
With the bat, skipper Temba Bavuma has had an excellent World Test Championship and Ryan Rickelton, along with David Bedingham, both have excellent records in the UK.

The history and iconic parts of Lord's often bring out the best in Australian Test cricketers and Pat Cummins will be hoping the surroundings do the same yet again in this final as his team look to retain the World Test Championship in London.
Two years ago it was Travis Head with the bat and Scott Boland with the ball who were key for Australia and the men from down-under look like worthy favourites ahead of this final.
In Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith, Australia have two batters nearing the end of illustrious Test careers but who are both in fantastic shape and still delivering the runs.
With the ball, captain Cummins leads an awesome four-pronged attack alongside Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and spinner Nathan Lyon with all-rounder Beau Webster likely to also chip in.

According to the forecast, there could be some rain around on Wednesday morning but the rest of the five days look set to be dry with the temperature up at 27 degrees on Friday.
Lord's is not only an iconic place to play Test cricket, but delivers a true and consistent wicket where batters can flourish. Whoever bats first will be looking to post a total around 400 to be competitive.
Although the conditions look likely to favour the bowlers on Wednesday morning, when the clouds disappear this will be an excellent batting track so we predict that both captains will choose to bat first.
South Africa last played Test cricket at the beginning of January and Australia last did so in early February but both sets of players have got in some valuable red ball practice of late. South Africa have a strong side but Australia look better and with more depth across their XI so we expect them to get the victory and retain the mace.
We are backing Australia to win!
